A little recap from our trip: Some moments stay with us longer than others.
One of the things we really believe in at Homerly Residence is that senior care should not only be about safety, routines, and making sure everyone is okay.
Of course, those things matter. A lot.
But we also think care should include joy. Fresh air. Movement. New scenery. A little bit of excitement. And sometimes, even a little adventure.
Recently, we took our seniors on a trip to Koh Kood island, where they stayed at A la Koh Kood, a peaceful resort surround by beautiful water and nature. Many of them love being by the sea, so this trip felt special from the very beginning.
They had massages by the beach, snorkeled and watched the fish, explored the island, listened to music, danced a little, laughed together, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of being somewhere beautiful.
There is something about being on holiday that changes people. You can see it in the way they sit a little more relaxed, smile a little more easily, and become more curious about what is around them. For our seniors, this trip was not just a change of scenery. It was a chance to feel refreshed, free, and connected to life outside the everyday routine.
As Homerly is based in Pattaya, we’re grateful to be surrounded by the sea, fresh ocean air, and nearby islands – allowing us to create experiences that feel both joyful and meaningful beyond everyday routines.
One moment that truly touched us
was seeing one of our seniors, who lives with Parkinson’s, enjoying the sea and snorkeling. In the sea water, his body felt lighter and more supported, making it easier for him to move with comfort. More than anything, it was wonderful to see him simply enjoying himself – exploring nature in a place where his body could feel freer.
