At 81 years old, Claudette moved from Canada to Thailand for the first time in her life.

A brave new chapter – and not the easiest decision.

Before coming to Homerly, she had looked at senior living options in Canada. But many of them felt too clinical.

“They are like institutions, like a hospital,” she said. “You’re referred to as a patient. I don’t want to be a patient.”

After living alone and experiencing several falls, Claudette needed more support. But she did not want to lose her independence, personality, or joy.
